Serena Williams dispatched Barbora Strycova in straight sets to set up a final against Simona Halep, she beat Barbora Strycova 6-1, 6-2 in the semifinals on Centre Court.

Former world number one (1), Serena Williams has defeated Victoria Azarenka 7-5, 6-3 in order to reach the second round at Indian Wells.

Japan's Naomi Osaka won the Australian Open, making it her second Grand Slam title by beating Petra Kvitova in the final stage of the tournament, according to ALJAZEERA. Osaka, 21 years who also defeated former No.1 Serena Williams in the U.S Open in September 2018, is now the first Asian to be ranked No.1.
