Cristiano Ronaldo has made history as the first man to score 100 club goals in European competitions.

World number one Jannik Sinner bounced back from his heartbreaking French Open final defeat to Carlos Alcaraz with a straight-sets victory at the Halle Open on Tuesday. The 23-year-old defeated Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann 7-5, 6-3 on grass, just over a week after enduring a gruelling five-hour, 29-minute loss at Roland Garros. Sinner secured a break in the final game of the opening set and again in the second to seal the win over the world No. 138.

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka triumphed in the ATP and WTA Cincinnati Open finals after overcoming rivals Frances Tiafoe and Jessica Pegula respectively. Sinner defeated Tiafoe in straight sets of 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 while Pegula was defeated 6-3, 7-5.

Carlos Alcaraz has won his second consecutive Wimbledon title, defeating Novak Djokovic 6-2, 6-2, 7-6(4) in a rematch of the thrilling five-setter from the previous year.

Barbora Krejcikova claimed her first Wimbledon title and second major after defeating Jasmine Paolini in an impressive three sets of 6-2 2-6 6-4 to win the ladies’ singles final.

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has pulled out of the French Open ahead of his quarter-final match against Casper Ruud due to a knee injury. Top seed and defending champion Djokovic exit ends his quest for a record-extending 25th Grand Slam trophy which will result in him losing the world No 1 ranking to Italian Jannik Sinner later this month.
