Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba has congratulated the Nigerian Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen after Nigeria defeated Cameroon 2-0 in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, last-16 last night. Osimhen marveled his spectators in an impressive display during the scuffle, as two goals from Ademola Lookman sealed the victory for Jose Peseiro’s side against Cameroon.

Victor Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli for either the Premier League, Real Madrid, or Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, according to Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis. Osimhen extended his Napoli contract until 2026 in November but is reportedly set to leave the Serie A side at the end of the season. “We already knew it since last summer,” De Laurentiis said.

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has decided to leave the club at the end of the season. The German who joined the Reds in October 2015, announced his decision on Friday morning, having informed the club’s ownership of his wish to leave his position in November 2023. After guiding the Reds to another Wembley final on Wednesday night, the 56-year-old will continue to oversee the team’s remaining fixtures of 2023-24 before bringing the curtain down on a glorious eight-and-a-half-year managerial reign at Anfield, which has seen the club win six major trophies under his guidance to date.

Fifa president Gianni Infantino has called for the implementation of an automatic forfeit of games for teams whose fans commit racist abuse. The head of football’s world governing body said there was no place for discrimination of any kind in the sport or wider society. This follows incidents which he described as "totally abhorrent" at Udinese and Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. AC Milan's win at Udinese was briefly suspended after alleged racist abuse from home fans towards Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, wherein fans shouted monkey chants.  “The events that took place in Udine and Sheffield on Saturday are totally abhorrent and completely unacceptable,” Infantino said in a statement. “The players affected by Saturday’s events have my undivided support.”

Aymeric Laporte has spoken about life so far in Saudi Arabia following his transfer from Man City.
