Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro has named Ahis final 25-man squad for the forthcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote’d’Ivoire. Peseiro will be heading to the tournament which is billed to run from Saturday, 13 January to 11 February 2024, with three (3) goalkeepers, eight (8) defenders, six (6) midfielders, and eight (8) forwards.

Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Nigeria, Mr Kalilou Traore, has revealed that the 2024 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, will usher an opportunity for his country to further strengthen cooperation with Nigeria as partners in progress. Traore made this statement during an interview with newsmen today Sunday in Abuja, as the country’s preparation to host the AFCON tournament from Jan. 14 to Feb. 13, 2024 in underway. 

Javier Tebas has been re-elected for a fourth term as the President of the Spanish La Liga after running unopposed. Tebas, 61, had resigned in November in order to seek a fourth term and was the only candidate. He assumed the Presidency of La Liga for the first time in April 2013 and was re-elected in 2016 and 2019.
