Nigeria's Super Eagles yesterday defeated South Africa's Bafana Bafana 2-1, at the Cairo International Stadium, qualifying them to the semi-final stage of the 2019 AFCON.

Samuel Chukwueze scored the first goal after receiving the ball from Alex Iwobi in the 27th minute, while William Troost Ekong scored Nigeria's second goal at the right time before the match ended.

However, South Africa displayed exemplary skills as they had more possession as well as their efforts to equalize the scores.

Nigeria will either face Algeria or Cote d'Ivoire as both teams are set to battle in Suez City on Thursday.
