Super Eagles of Nigeria suffered a surprise defeat at the hands of the Syli National in a pre-AFCON warm-up game in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Monday.
Nigeria who named a strong side for the game with William Troost-Ekong returning as captain suffered the first blow in the 14th minute when Aguibou Camara netted for Guinea, before doubling the lead in the 64th minute.
The Super Eagles had chance upon chance to put the game to bed, however, saves from the Guinean goalkeeper left the team to settle for crumbles.
The team is expected back in the country on Tuesday, as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State will host them in a send-forth ceremony before departing for the tournament proper.
