Manchester city Manage, Pep Guardiola has hinted Bernardo Silver of Mancity that he needs to be active on social media to make it to Ballon d’Or. The Midfielder, 27 is on both Instagram and Twitter has a combined followership of 3.4 million fans. The Portugal international in the last season has made 37 appearances in all for his Man city club, scoring ten goals and four assists.
Speaking with Sky Sports News, Guardiola said, “Bernardo Silva is never going to win the Ballon d’Or because you’ve to be on social media, you have to not just win but score a lot of goals and Bernardo doesn’t have that quality,”
He explained, “If one day it happens, I would love it, I would be happy for him like any other player that we’ve here that one day would win the Ballon d’Or. I would be more than grateful to experience that award with him. For me, as a manager, he can do everything.”
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi won the Ballon d’ Or last year despite Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski being the bookmakers’ favorite to win the award.
