Former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder, Jamie Redknapp has claimed that if not for its forward, Cole Palmer, Chelsea would have been fighting to stay out of the relegation zone this season. He applauded Palmer’s effort that he has been impressive for Chelsea since joining the club from Manchester City last summer.

Especially when he recently scored a hat trick as Chelsea beat Manchester United that ended in a 4-3 scores.

Redknapp added that Palmer was also impressive for Mauricio Pochettino’s side at the weekend, as he helped set up Noni Madueke’s strike against Sheffield United in their 2-2 Premier League draw.

Speaking after the game on Sky Sports, Redknapp said: “Chelsea would be in a relegation battle if it were not for Cole Palmer.”

Meanwhile, Palmer will hope to lead Chelsea to victory when they face Everton in their next game.
