Former Manchester United F.C. midfielder Owen Hargreaves has singled out goalkeeper Senne Lammens as the club’s best signing of the season. Manchester United F.C. secured Lammens from Belgian side Royal Antwerp F.C. during last summer’s transfer window as part of a major squad rebuild.

The club also strengthened their squad with the arrivals of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., Benjamin Šeško from RB Leipzig, and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford F.C..

Despite those high-profile additions, Hargreaves believes Lammens has emerged as United’s most impressive recruit so far.

According to the former England international, the young shot-stopper has stood out with his performances and has quickly proven to be a valuable addition to the squad.

“I will tell you who’s probably the best signing of all of them: Senne Lammens,” Hargreaves told TNT Sports after Man United’s 0-0 draw with Sunderland in the Premier League at the weekend.

“What did he cost? Not a lot—so he’s value for money. But I genuinely think if they hadn’t sorted the goalkeeper situation, they wouldn’t be in the top four.”
