25 year old Crotone Nigerian forward, Simy Nwankwo rescued his team from defeat against Juventus with his bicycle kick strike helping them to a 1-1 draw against the Old Lady of Turin in a Serie A game.
Juventus hanged on to a 16th minute goal by Alex Sandro which was the opening goal and only of the tie until Nwankwo struck to draw his team level five minutes after the hour mark to frustrate the Serie A leaders.
The goal was his third of the season from 18 Serie A games with his other goals coming against SPAL and Crotone thereby equaling his last season tally but with three games less.
Nwankwo moved to the Serie A last season after five years in Portugal where he turned out for Portimonense and later Gil Vincente. He agreed a move back to Portimonense before performing an amazing u-turn to sign for then newly promoted Crotone last season.
