The French champions defeated Arsenal in the final after a tense encounter in Budapest ended 1-1 following 120 minutes of play. PSG eventually emerged victorious in the penalty shoot-out to secure the coveted European title.
Kai Havertz opened the scoring for Arsenal, while Ousmane Dembélé found the equaliser for PSG, forcing the match into extra time and eventually penalties.
The victory saw PSG achieve a remarkable feat, becoming only the third club in history to win both their domestic league title and the UEFA Champions League in consecutive seasons. The achievement places the Paris-based side alongside Spanish giants Real Madrid, who accomplished the feat in 1956-57 and 1957-58, and Dutch powerhouse Ajax, who repeated the achievement in 1971-72 and 1972-73.
PSG had already secured the French league crown earlier in the campaign, and their European success now crowns another historic season for the club.
