Super Eagles boss Augustine Eguavoen has called and released thirty-two (32) man provisional list for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 play-off round against the Black Stars of Ghana. Among the invited players is former U17 World Cup star Akinkunmi Amoo, officially called for the first time, defender Calvin Bassey, Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis and RB Leipzig forward (currently on loan at Leicester City) Ademola Lookman, who recently got cleared by FIFA to switch international allegiance.

As Lookman prepares for his Super eagle's debut, city boss Brendan Rodgers has been impressed with his on-loan forward and has therefore challenged him to take his goal tally to double figures if he wants a permanent summer transfer to the Foxes.

Nigeria will take on Ghana at 7.30 pm on Friday 25th March, with the reverse leg set for the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday, 29th March from 6 pm. The camp for the play-off round opens in Abuja on 21st March, with a 24-man final list for the two big games to be released at a later date.
