Super Eagles Head Coach, Gernot Rohr on Monday released a 30-man provisional squad for the 2018 World Cup, billed to take place in Russia from June 14 to July 15, 2017. The list which was made available to Vigil360 indicated that four goalkeepers were picked by the German tactician. They include Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Daniel Akpeyi, Francis Uzoho and Dele Ajiboye.


The defenders include William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Ola Aina, Kenneth Omeruo, Bryan Idowu, Chidozie Awaziem, Abdullahi Shehu, Elderson Echiejile, Tyronne Ebuehi and Stephen Eze.


The Midfielders were listed as Captain John Mikel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, John Ogu, Wilfried Ndidi, Uche Agbo, Oghenekaro Etebo, Joel Obi and Mikel Agu.


The Super Eagles strikers in the list include Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa, Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi, Moses Simon, Kelechi Iheanacho, Junior Lokosa and Simeon Nwankwo


Nigeria was drawn in Group D along with Argentina, Croatia and Iceland. The Super Eagles will face Croatia in their first group match at the 2018 World Cup at the Kaliningrad Stadium on Saturday, 16th June before games against Iceland at Volgograd on 22nd June and Argentina at Saint Petersburg on 26th June
