South Korean investigators has today call-off attempt to arrest the impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol over his failed martial law bid. The Corruption Investigation Office disclosed this in a statement released this morning, saying that the investigators called off the attempt due to a standoff at his residence.
The statement partly reads; “Regarding the execution of the arrest warrant today, it was determined that the execution was effectively impossible due to the ongoing standoff. Concern for the safety of personnel on-site led to the decision to halt the execution”.
Recalls that operatives investigating the suspended South Korea’s President, Yoon Suk Yeol, following his short-lived declaration of martial law, required an arrest warrant against the ousted president after he failed to show up for questioning.
