Suspected kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, has filed a fresh suit against the Police at a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, Channels Television reports.

This time, Evans wants the court to compel the police to immediately and unconditionally release his two residential houses located in Magodo area of Lagos State.

He also wants the court to order the police and its leadership to severally and jointly tender an apology as well as pay him the sum of N1 billion.

Suspected herdsmen have killed 25 persons in another attack in Plateau State.

Those killed in the attack are 19 men, three women and three children.

The incident occurred on Monday night in Dundu village, Kwall District in Bassa Local Government Area of the state.

Irked by the challenges of human trafficking and insecurity in Edo State, the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, has placed a curse on trafficking cartels and criminals in the state. Oba Ewuare II on Friday also broke the oath taken by human traffic victims in the past, adding that they were free to expose the perpetrators behind the crime.

The National Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Mohammed Nuru Abdullahi has condemned the recent killing of some herdsmen in Plateau state. Abdullahi in a statement issued on Thursday described the incident which occurred on Monday as targeted act of terror.

The Nigerian Senate on Thursday summoned the ‎Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, to explain the circumstances surrounding the abduction of 110 students of Government Girls Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State, by Boko Haram on February 19.

The President, Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO), Alhaji Abdullahi Wali, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for responding promptly to the abduction of students of Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe.

Wali’s applause was conveyed in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Abuja.

He noted that the quick response by the Federal Government to the abduction of the school girls had clearly demonstrated Buhari’s commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and properties of all Nigerians.
