South West Governor’s Utterances Responsible For Violence In Sasha Market – Ahmad Lawan
Senate President Ahmad Lawan has mentioned that pronouncements by governors in the south-west were responsible for the violence in Sasha market Ibadan Oyo state. A crisis had erupted On February 13, following an argument that ensued between a pregnant Yoruba woman and a Hausa businessman. This resulted in an outbreak of violence in Sasha area of Ibadan, Oyo state capital, which reportedly led to the deaths of many and the destruction of houses. Seyi Makinde, the state governor, ordered the immediate closure of the market.
