Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has on Monday, 16th December 2019 advised the Federal Government to review its negotiation strategy with Boko-Haram and other splinter groups such as the Islamic States in West Africa Province (ISWAP).

The Economic Community of West African State (ECOWAS) Court sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday, 11th October 2019 dismissed a suit by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mr Nnamdi Kanu, filed against the Federal Republic of Nigeria, alleging that he was tortured, assaulted and subjected to inhuman treatment by security operatives when he was arrested in 2015.

The Attorney General and Minister of Information, Abubakar Malami, has revealed that the federal government has directed that the incident which occurred involving the Department of States Services (DSS) and the convener of the #RevolutioNow protest, Omoyele Sowore at the Federal High Court be investigated.

The Presidency has reacted to the re-arrest of the #RevolutioNow convener, Omoyele Sowore, saying that the Department of States Services (DSS) do not require any approval to do what the constitution directs them to do, ordinarily, Sowore’s statement is enough to make him a person of interest to the DSS.
