The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai on Tuesday assured the troops of ‘Operation Lafiya Dole’ of a reviewed and enhanced welfare package in 2020, NAN reports.

The Federal Government has said it would begin gradual withdrawal of the military operations in the north eastern part of the country where the Boko Haram terrorists have been attacking people for almost a decade, stressing that the withdrawal of troops will be done after an “assessment” to determine areas where peace has returned to enable civil authorities to assume full control of security.
