The Multinational Joint Task Force (MJTF) Troops on Saturday took the fight to Boko Haram and the Task Force was said to have killed about 50 Boko Haram fighters in Gueskerou and Abadam along the Lake Chad Basin.

The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau (RTD), has ordered the closure of all land borders into the country with effect from 12:00 noon on Friday, March 8, to 12: 00 noon of Sunday, March 10, 2019.

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) through its tweeter handle has condemned the attack on a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Brass, Bayelsa state during the election period and has promised to carry out intensive investigation and the prosecution of those who perpetrated the act.

The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), which comprised troops from Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad, and Niger Republic has commenced a military operation tagged "Operation YANCIN TAFKI."

The Federal Government through her Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau has declared Friday, February 22nd as a work-free day, so as to allow individuals to prepare adequately for the Presidential election, which holds on Saturday 23rd of February.
