It has been gathered that three persons have reportedly lost their lives following an explosion in Okene Local Government Area, behind the palace of Traditional ruler, Oyinoyi in Kogi state. The explosion rocked the area in the early hours of 29th December 2022.
The Police Operatives of the Anti-Bomb Unit were already on the ground to curtail the situation at the time of filing this report.
Unfortunately, this sad occurrence is coming a few hours before the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari for the commissioning of some projects in the state. Although, details of the incident remain sketchy speculations have it that the explosive might be targeted to attack the President.
