The fanfare the greeted the return of N'golo Kante and Drink Water from injury may be short-lived as the club have been afflicted with three new cases that could see Gary Cahill, Alvaro Morata and Batshuayi sidelined after the international break. Chelsea striker, Michy Batshuayi has already been ruled out of Belgium's squad billed to prosecute the upcoming friendlies with Mexico and Japan.
He reportedly picked up the injury after linking up with the national side this week. He has since returned to London where he is being treated by Chelsea medical staff. Speaking on the situation, Belgium Coach, Roberto Martinez said "When Michy arrived he was in pain. He has not trained since the squad met. He is out of both games and has already returned to Chelsea."
Batshuayi has made 12 appearances for Chelsea in all competition, scoring seven goals. Apart from Michy, Morata is said to have sustained toe injury and has been excluded from Spain's team list. Also, club captain, Gary Cahill has sustained injury in England training.
Meanwhile, the club is yet to make a definite statement on the situation.
