Chelsea Manager, Antonio Conte has told Chelsea's new signing, Alvaro Morata that although scoring goals was crucial for his confidence, understanding the way Chelsea play football was more important. Conte stated this on Saturday after the encounter against Leicester City. The Blues ran away with all three points after defeating the Foxes 2-1 at King Power Stadium.
The Spaniard had opened scoring after nodding in a superb pullout from fellow countryman. The reigning champion scored the second goal after Kante fired in from outside the box. Speaking after the match, Conte said “It is a good day for the team and a good day for Alvaro [Morata]. It is always important for the striker to score.”
“But for me it is very important to see that he is improving and he is more involved in our idea of football and for me that is the most important thing. Then if he scores, I am very happy and I am pleased for the player” he added.
Morata has now scored three goals and recorded two assists in all four games for the Champion.
