3-Month-Old Baby For N2m- NAPTIP
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, in collaboration with the Ekiti State Liaison Office in Ilupeju-Ekiti has arrested two suspected baby traders in Ekiti State. The Head of NAPTIP, Ekiti Liaison Office, Oladimeji Samson, stated that one of the suspects, Ifeoma Ejide, allegedly sold a female baby to another Funmilayo Ibitoye, who allegedly bought the baby for N2 million. Samson in his statement revealed that, “My colleagues came from Abuja for a case of a woman that has a baby factory at Owo, Ondo State and the woman was arrested in Owo and from there they traced where she sold the baby.”
