The dethroned Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has taken the path of legality where he sues the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Director-General of the Department of States Services (DSS) to a federal High Court sitting in Abuja challenging his illegal detention and to enforce his fundamental Human Right.

A legal team headed by, AB Mahmud (SAN) has challenged the arrest of the dethroned Muhammadu Sanusi II by the Kano state government, writes to the Police, DSS and the Attorney General of the federation calling for his immediate release to be united with his family.
