President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday said his government is determined to stamp-out bandits and terrorist that has continued to give Nigerians a sleepless night. Mr Buhari gave the assurance yesterday in a condolence message delivered on his behalf by his chief of staff, Mallam Abba Kyari, who leads the Federal Government delegation to Kastina state to commensurate with the Government and the people of the state over the unfortunate incidence that recently befalls them from the attack of bandits.

The report has indicated that up to 20 persons have died in a stampede in Neighboring Niger, while several others sustained various degrees of injuries during a stampede in the South-Eastern part of Diffa, in the above country. The stampede followed struggle by thousands of Nigerian refugees displaced by Boko Haram years of hostilities, to get relief materials supplied by Borno state government.
