The House of Representatives has passed the thirty thousand (#30,000) National Minimum Wage bill. The Speaker, Dogara unequivocally declared that there were obvious reasons why the House had to give accelerated consideration to this very crucial Bill, stressing that it is a Bill that is long overdue.

On the latest Transparency International ranking released on Tuesday 29th January 2019,  Nigeria has moved up four places in the World corruption perception index (CPI) for 2018, ranking 144 out of 180 countries that were surveyed last year.

The President, Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen with immediate effect and appoints Ibrahim Tanko Muhammed as acting CJN.
