The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has notified air travelers that it has directed Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) to temporarily close the airspace whenever there is an indication of thunderstorm or microburst that may impinge the safety of flights. The warning was contained in an advisory circular issued yesterday to airline operators and signed by the Director General of NCAA, Capt. Muhtar Usman.

The Federal Government has put in place plans to grant amnesty to tax defaulters and permanent waiver of criminal prosecution for tax offenders and other offenses related to offshore assets to those willing to voluntarily declare same to the Federal Government.

Recall that he had earlier on Friday dismissed charges of false asset declaration against him as “useless and invalid”, said the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) failed to follow its standard operations procedure in raising the charges.
