President of the trade union Congress, TUC, Comrade Festus Osifo has revealed the outcome of its meeting between the Labour and the Federal Government. Recall the TUC gave the federal government two weeks ultimatum to address Nigerian workers concerning wage review or risk an industrial action from Nigerian workers.
Osifo said Nigerian workers were becoming impatient by the day following the unabated inflation occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy by president Tinubu administration which has brought hardship on Nigerians.

Former Nigerian president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed why African continent is recording too many coup d’état on African continent and why youth are in support. Obasanjo said, the too many coups on the African continent are a testimony that the youth are in search of a liberators.

Federal high Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa suit seeking to stop DSS and ICPC from probing him over comment of his wife bending laws for him and his friends during a valedictory session of the 9th Assembly. The presiding judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo in his ruling held that the suit lacked merit and therefore stroked it out. The judge said Senator Bulkachuwa being a lawyer out to have understood the weight of his statement he made publicly during the valedictory session on the floor of the senate.

Leader of Benue state socio-cultural groups, and tribal leaders Iorbee Ihagh, has vowed to resist plan by the federal Government to establish a Fulani Colony in their state describing it as tactical land grabbing in favour of Fulani herdsmen. The leaders faulted the knee-jerk announcement by the Federal Government of its plan to build about 1,000 housing units in favour of Fulani in seven states including Benue was an act of mischief and would be resisted in the state.

The Federal Government on Sunday sent an invitation to the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and its counterpart, the Trade Union Congress (TUC) for a fresh meeting with the intention of averting the looming indefinite strike occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy. The union had given a 3-week ultimatum to embark on an indefinite strike over fuel subsidy removal. On September 1, Joe Ajaero, NLC president, declared that the labour union would go on a two-day warning strike from September 5.

President Bola Tinubu has approved the establishment of a Presidential Committee dedicated to the reform of the livestock industry and the provision of long-term solutions to recurring clashes between herders and farmers in the country. The President announced the establishment of the committee on Thursday in Abuja, following the submission of a report from the National Conference on Livestock Reforms and Mitigation of Associated Conflicts in Nigeria.
