The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has clarified a misinterpretation of media reports in circulation, which allegedly placed a complete ban on the impoundment of vehicles by personnel of the Corps; a directive issued by the Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja has disclosed that the sit-at-home order imposed by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the South-East has ended. He made this revelation Tuesday during the COAS combined second and third-quarter conference.

President Bola Tinubu has orderd an investigation into recurring boat mishaps in the country. The President expressed grief over the death of 41 people in three separate boat mishaps in Niger and Adamawa States within three days. The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun has established an ad hoc committee tasked with an in-depth review of firearms licensing and regulations by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). Nigerian Vice President Kashim Shettima had yesterday disclosed that the post insurgency assessment conducted in the northeast indicated that the region has in total lost about $9billion, out which Borno state being the theatre of war accounted for $6.8bn. Shettima stated this in Maiduguri, Borno state capital when he flagged up the palliative distribution for states in the region through the north East Develop Commission, lamenting how some emirates were dislodged from their native lands without anyone to rule.
