Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) announced today the early closure of its branches across Nigeria by 12:00pm on Friday, October 11 2024 to reopen by 9:00 am on Monday, October 14, 2024.
The bank stated that the decision was in order to “begin the transition to a new and robust suite of Finacle Core Banking Application Systems.”
GTBank further said, “Additionally, there will be service disruptions on our digital banking channels for 11 hours, specifically between 10:00 pm on Sunday, October 13th and 9:00 am on Monday, October 14th. This transition will allow us drive digital transformation to achieve insights-driven and frictionless interactions with all our customers.”
The bank reassured customers that the development was in order to deliver more efficient and secure banking services and also urged for patience during the period of service interruptions.
