The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) and Siemens Healthineers have revealed a decade-long strategic partnership to boost Nigeria’s healthcare infrastructure with cutting-edge medical imaging technology and capacity building. This was made known at the 2025 annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), noting that the collaboration is hinged on advancing diagnostic capabilities across the nation. To kickstart this long-term agreement, Siemens Healthineers will equip the 10 new MedServe centers that will soon be operational across the country to significantly improve access to high-quality medical imaging for the people of Nigeria.

Nigeria's First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has urged citizens to renew their commitment to ending AIDS by 2030, calling for compassion, youth responsibility, and the elimination of stigma as the country marked World AIDS Day 2025. At the National Orthopaedic Hospital in Dala, Kano, the Federal Government has installed a 1.5-megawatt solar hybrid mini-grid to increase the provision of dependable and reasonably priced power for medical services.
