Kwara state Deputy Governor, Kayode Alabi and his wife Abieyuwa Alabi, have tested positive for COVID-19. The information was made public by the state's Technical Committee on COVID-19 spokesperson, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Tuesday. In a statement titled, "Kwara Dep Gov. wife test positive for COVID-19, it was revealed that immediate contact tracing and tests have commenced with regard to the development.
The Federal Government has warned that eventually if the second wave of coronavirus strikes in Nigeria, it will jeopardize the economy and cause mass deaths to the public. The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced that places of worship in the state will reopen from Friday, August 7.
