Germany and Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos has announced his retirement from the German national team after 11 years at a relatively young age of 31. The former German Footballer of the Year has achieved both individually and with the team. 

Former Liverpool, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Dalian Yifang Manager, Rafael Benitez has returned to the Premier League having been appointed as the new Everton boss on a three-year deal, replacing Carlo Ancelotti who left Goodison Park to return to Real Madrid earlier this month.

UEFA has confirmed the away goals rule will be abolished from European competitions, with the change being put into place in time for the 2021-22 season. The away goals rule has been in place since 1965 but will now no longer be used to decide knockout matches in UEFA club competitions, including the Champions League and Europa League.
