The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Abubakar Adamu has today ordered the closure of all satellite offices belonging to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) nationwide. The directive comes as result of the wild protest staged by Nigerian populace in Sagamu, Ogun state calling for the head of SARS over the killing of a Remo Stars Football club player, Tiamiyu Kazeem aka Kaka.
Available information has it that former spokesman of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh, and his company, Destra Investment Limited has been found guilty of being in possession and control of N400 million, by a Federal High Court, Abuja, judging that the money proceeds of money laundering. Mr Metuh, on trial over 7 count charge of criminal diversion of the money he received from the office of the National Security Adviser, NSA, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd) instituted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Boko Haram terrorists on Friday attacked Garkida town in Gombi Local Government Area, Adamawa State in search of foodstuff and pharmaceutical products.
