In a ruling by Justice Yusuf Birnin-Kudu of Jigawa State High Court has on 28th June 2019 sentenced a Deputy Director of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Auwal Jibrin, to six years in jail. The convict was arraigned before the court over unlawful enrichment, collecting gratification and breach of trust.
