The Supreme Court on Friday affirmed the judgement of the Appeal Court against former Governor Jolly Nyame of Taraba state. The court had found him guilty of corruption charges and sentenced him to 12 years in prison. Vigil360 recalls that the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) had charged Jolly Nyame with abuse of office while serving as Governor of Taraba state.

The Kaduna state police command had on Sunday reported that they arrested one, Nathaniel Samuel, a suspected suicide bomber inside the church who attempted to bomb a church located at Sabon Tasha in Chikun Local Government Area in Kaduna state.

A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) high court sitting in Gwagwalada has on 30th January 2020 granted N50 million bail to Mohammed Adoke, former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF).

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, on Monday 27th January 2020 found MaryamSanda guilty for killing her husband. She was convicted and sentenced to death by hanging for the murder of her husband, Bilyaminu Bello. 

Following the killing of Lawan Andimi, chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Michika, Adamawa State by Boko Haram terrorist group, President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the killing, stressing that the terrorist will pay dearly.
