The earlier resumption date announced for the Abuja-Kaduna train services by the Ministry of Transportation has been suspended indefinitely. The Minister of Transportation, Mu’azu Sambo made this known during his tour of inspection to assess the redness of the rail services before a proper announcement could be made. Making a comment he said, it could be more than a week contrary to the earlier announced date of, 28th November 2022 as the official resumption date of the services the Minister added.

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has advised Nigerians on the dangers associated with irregular migration, adding that it would sensitize Nigerians about the risks. This was disclosed on behalf of the Comptroller General (CG) of NIS, Isah Jere by the NIS Public Relations Officer, Tony Akuneme who stated that Nigerians planning to migrate should do so properly, so as not to waste their time and resources.

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps Brigadier General Muhammed Kukah Fadah has been relieved from office by president Muahammadu Buhari about six months after assuming office. It was gathered that Fadah's removal was due to incompetence to handle the office he was appointed to oversee, hence he has been ordered to hand over to the most senior civil servant in the NYSC to head it in the interim pending the appointment of a substantive DG by Buhari. Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Sunday Dare, whose office supervises the NYSC also confirmed Fadah’s sacking.

Ghana has denied and expressed regrets over issuing a travel advisory to its citizen to keep off from Abuja. In a tweet in the early hours of 17th November 2022, the Ghanaian government declared the statement was unauthorized, as its unaware of any threat being posed to its citizens in the nation's capital and regrets any incontinence its previous notice may have caused to the public. Recall on 16th November 2022, the Ministry in its travel advisory had warned its citizens to keep off non-essential travels to Abuja, citing insecurities as a major concern
But in a follow-up advisory tagged, Re: Security Update in Abuja, Nigeria, which the Ministry issued to ‘all media houses,’ the Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Ministry said it is not aware of any threat targeted at Ghanaians ‘who continue to live in harmony with their Nigerian brothers and sisters.’

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the sum of N134.7 billion as payment of Security Debarment Allowance (SDA) to all military veterans. The President made this known on Wednesday in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja during the launch of the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem and Appeal Fund.

Gunmen have reportedly killed about nine persons and injured others in Maikatako community of Buturu District in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State. It was gathered that the assailants invaded the community on Wednesday morning about 1am, shooting sporadically and burning homes. Eye witness account revealed that residents were still trying to ascertain the exact figures and the identities of those who lost their lives, as the victims including women and children who were said to be from the same family were burnt beyond recognition.
