Twenty-nine (29) new Nigerian words and expression have reportedly been added to a recent update made by the Oxford English Dictionary. This was confirmed in a blog post on the dictionary’s website.

The Federal government through the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology has on Thursday announced a partnership with University of Dundee, Scotland to develop a technical committee that aimed at focusing on the study of Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Forensics and Information Communication Technology (ICT).

The National Universities Commission, NUC has on Thursday announced the phasing out of Mass Communication degree in Nigerian varsities to meet up with global educational advancements. The announcement was made by Prof. Abubakar Rasheed, Executive Secretary, NUC while speaking with journalists in Abuja, saying the degree will be split into seven different degree programmes.

The Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of the Nigerian Universities (ASUU) has failed to agree on the ground that ASUU has continued to resist enrolment halfway into the implementation of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information system (IPPIS).
