Ahead of the reopening of educational institutions, the federal government has advised institutions of learning to begin emplacing preventive measures against COVID-19.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board on Tuesday 16th June 2020 had revealed through its Register and Chief Executive Prof. Ishaq Oloyede that the cut-off marks of 2020/2021 admission for tertiary education has been readjusted to the following cut-off marks.

The Federal government has disclosed that the impact of coronavirus is still not convincing to reopen schools.

The Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba has debunked the rumour going around that schools will reopen on June 8.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the removal of the suspended Registrar of the National Examination Council (NECO), Prof. Charles Uwakwe and four other directors. The four directors include Mr Bamidele Olure, Acting Director, Finance and Accounts;

The Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Education has cautioned against the resumption of schools at all levels, stressing that vice-chancellors must maintain the closure of federal, state and private universities so as to keep people and students safe from the coronavirus pandemic.
