Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, has today revealed that the Commission has identified about 142 recommendations on the electoral process that requires reforms.

The House of Representatives has called for the closure of illegal loan platforms used by “one chance” operatives to extort money from victims. The resolution followed a motion of urgent public importance moved by Billy Osawaru during plenary on Wednesday.

The Nigerian Police Force has confirmed the arrest of human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi today, over alleged dafamation and other charges. The Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, Adeniran Akinwale, stated that Farotimi was arrested for various alleged offences.
