Following the unabated violence and killing in Benue, plateau and other part of the country, President Bola Tinubu has issued marching order to security agencies to deal with insecurity within the country with immediate effect. Tinubu, while ordering a complete overhaul of Nigeria’s security strategy, declared that “enough is enough.”
In what appears to have taken the general public off-guard, an inspector of police attached to the Rivers State Police Command, identified as Maxwell Zubu has allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself dead. The incident took place in the Eagle Island axis of Port Harcourt yesterday.

The Nigerian Police Command in Lagos State has debunked the rumor that claimed hundreds of Boko Haram terrorist suspects were apprehended in Lagos by the law enforcement officers. The command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin stated this in a statement that was made public on Friday in Lagos.
Suspected Fulani herdsmen on Tuesday evening launched a deadly attack on Otobi community in Akpa District of Otukpo Local Government Area, Benue State, leaving several residents feared dead. An eyewitness revealed that the attackers stormed the village around 6 pm and began shooting indiscriminately at anyone in sight. “They have been shooting and killing people since 6 pm. As we speak, our house and several others have been burnt down. We are helpless,” a distressed villager lamented.
