The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice James Omotosho, has adjourned the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to Friday, 24th October, 2025, following a notification of withdrawal by his lead counsel, Kanu Agbai, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), alongside other SANs, including Onyechi Ikpeazu, Joseph Akubo, Paul Erokoro, and Emeka Etiaba.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, in partnership with the Nigerian Immigration Service and the Nigerian Correctional Service, has successfully deported 192 foreign nationals convicted of cyber-terrorism, internet fraud, and associated financial crimes in Lagos. The final batch of 51 criminals was repatriated on October 16, 2025, marking the end of the large-scale deportation operation.
