As two of the tenets of the updated National Counter-Terrorism Strategy 2025, the Federal Government has announced efforts to improve interagency coordination and increase community involvement. Major General Adamu Laka, National Coordinator of the National Counter-Terrorism Center, stated during the final validation exercise for the draft strategy in Abuja on Tuesday that the updated framework was intended to enhance cooperation between security agencies and encourage public involvement in preventing and combating terrorism.

Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede has called for improved synergy between the military, judiciary, and other key stakeholders if Nigeria is to win the war on terrorism as well as dismantle terrorist networks. In an effort to reposition discipline, professionalism, and accountability in the Nigerian public service, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has approved sanctions against dozens of officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service. The move follows the recommendation of the disciplinary committee after careful review of 231 disciplinary cases brought before the board.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) and its partners have disclosed that its office has mobilized 2.2 billion dollars (about N3.4 trillion) to implement special agro-industrial processing zones across Nigeria.
