Onanuga revealed the information on Monday in an interview with Prime Time on ARISE News. He claims that even while security personnel possess the required intelligence, their actions are frequently limited by the possibility of collateral damage to citizens who are being held captive by the bandits.

In the early hours of Friday, gunmen invaded the St. Mary's Catholic School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area, abducted 215 students and 12 instructors. The number of kidnapped kids was revised to 303 after a verification process and additional investigations, bringing the total number of victims—including 12 teachers—to 315.
