Troops of Sector 2, Operation Fansan Yamma, have escalated coordinated military operations across Sokoto, Zamfara, and Kebbi states, killing at least six suspected bandits and recovering arms and ammunition equipment in a series of offensives conducted this week. Security forces also recorded notable successes in rescue efforts during separate operations.

Sa'adatu Galadima, the Nasarawa State Commandant of NAPTIP, made this revelation on Thursday in Lafia, the state capital, while parading two suspects in the trafficking of children. She claims that the traffickers, identified as 33-year-old Asabe Bedan and 40-year-old Calpurnia Ogianfen, were apprehended by Department of State Services agents while traveling from Karu Local Government Area in Nasarawa State to Edo State.
