The Nigerian Air Force revealed it has continued its counterterrorism operation with new airstrikes that killed multiple fighters and destroyed a terrorist enclave in Borno State. The teachers and students kidnapped in Oyo State's Orire Local Government Area have been liberated. Bayo Onanuga, the President's Special Advisor on Information and Strategy, revealed the development on Friday.
Onanuga only declared that the victims' kidnappers had freed them in a shared post on his verified X handle. He claimed that no compromise was made to the terrorists in order to obtain the release of the teachers and students who had been kidnapped.
