The newly appointed Minister of Defence and immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, retired Gen. Christopher Musa, officially took office on Friday at the Ministry of Defence Ship House, Abuja. Gen. Musa, who was appointed on Tuesday by President Bola Tinubu after the resignation of former minister Muhammed Badaru, received Senate confirmation on Thursday.
National Security Adviser (NSA) Malam Nuhu Ribadu, on 1st December 2025, visited Kontagora, Niger State, to meet with the parents of the recently abducted students of St. Mary’s Catholic School, Papiri, in Agwara Local Government Area, reiterating the Federal Government will ensure their safe return. The immediate past Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has been summoned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for questioning. The agency’s invitation was contained in a letter dated November 24. It is fixed for Friday, November 28, for the interview. “The Commission is investigating a case in which the need to obtain certain information from you becomes imperative,” the letter, signed by Sunday Atiba Ofen-Imu, on behalf of the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, read.
