The National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, has threatened to shut down the power sector if the Inspector General of Police, IGP, decide to actualise his threat of arresting the President of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Joe Ajaero. The Intelligence Response Team, IRT, unit of the Nigerian Police Force, NPF, had on Monday, August 19, through a letter that went viral on social media invited Ajaero, for questioning over allegation of Criminal Conspiracy, Terrorism Financing, Treasonable Felony, Subversion and Cybercrime.

Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited, the Chinese firm that sized Nigeruia's presidential jets and other national assets, has announced the release of one of Nigeria’s presidential jets, following a directive from a French court. The aircraft, an Airbus A330, was previously detained in France under a court order obtained by Zhongshan.

The Federal Government has expressed concerns about a Chinese company, Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited, attempting to take possession of Nigeria's presidential jets and other offshore assets through a court case in Paris, France. Three jets associated with the Nigerian government's presidential air fleet were confiscated by authorities in France and Switzerland. The confiscations occurred following a ruling by a French court that permitted the seizure of the aircraft due to a longstanding business dispute between Ogun State and the Chinese company, Zhongshan.

The Minister Of Defence (MOD) for State, Bello Matawalle said the Armed Forces of Nigeria requires 200 million rounds of ammunition annually for its operations.
