The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres has announced the appointment of Nigerian business magnate, Aliko Dangote, President of African Development Bank, Akinwunmi Adesina and 25 other persons as global leaders, championing the fight against global malnutrition, an initiative of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has on Monday 23rd, September 2019 announced that the Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC is set to introduce a second Ebola vaccine starting from mid-October to the end of the year 2019, in a bid to tackle the scourge of the deadly virus.

On Friday, 13th September 2019, the World’s first malaria vaccine is being rolled out in eight of the forty-seven counties of Kenya as reported by British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). The vaccine will be added to the routine vaccination schedule and more than 300,000 children are expected to receive the vaccine within the span of three years.
