Former senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Phillip Tanimu Aduda, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His resignation was contained in a letter titled "Notice of Resignation of My Membership from the PDP” and addressed to the Chairman of the PDP in Karu Ward, Abuja.
The letter reads as follows: “I write to formally notify you of my resignation as a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect due to the crisis in the party.
“I remain grateful for the opportunity the party gave me to serve in various elective positions in our nation. Please, accept the assurances of my high esteem.”
According to speculations, the close ally of the current minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, is expected to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) with the hope of securing the ticket to represent the FCT in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
