A former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has today officially declared his ambition to contest in the 2027 gubernatorial election in Nasarawa State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Adamu made his intension known yesterday during a meeting with members of the State Working Committee of the APC held in Lafia, the state capital.
Speaking to the party stakeholders, the former police boss said his decision was driven by a “clarion call” from the people of Nasarawa who, according to him, believe in his style of leadership capabilities and experience which he has demonstrated during his term in office as police.
Accordingly, he pledged to run an all-inclusive and people-oriented administration if given a chance by the electorate to become the governor in the state.
Adamu said, “I am answering the call of my people who believe I can serve and move Nasarawa forward.
“My administration, by the grace of God, will be inclusive, transparent, and focused on delivering tangible development across all sectors,” Adamu stated.
His declaration has add a significant name to the growing list of aspirants eyeing to be the governor in Nasarawa as the 2027 elections draw nearer.
