About 30 armed policemen have taken over all the entrances to the House of Assembly quarters located along the Aba Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers state. The first and second gates to the lawmakers’ estate is currently been safeguarded by the police with about 30 patrol vans used to block the entrances.

The Nigerian Navy (NN) has intercepted a vessel that allegedly fled from Gabon without proper documentation. The vessel, MV BLU-SHARK , was intercepted in Calabar on May 6 at about 11:52hours by the navy’s NNS OSE, a statement by the Navy’s Director of Information, Commodore Aiwuyor Adams-Aliu, said on Friday in Abuja.

The Defence Headquarters has received 20 Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC’s) as parts of the Federal Government’s efforts to fight insecurity in the country. The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen. Christopher Musa received the keys of the vehicles during a brief ceremony at the Ministry of Defence Abuja, on Wednesday.

President Bola Tinubu has returned from his trip abroad after spending 10 days of speculations over his whereabouts by concern Nigerians. According to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), the president returned to Nigeria, today Wednesday morning. In a news flash by the media House, the NTA said: “President Bola Tinubu returns to Abuja after his trips to the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia”.
