The National Orientation Agency, NOA, has call on Nigerians to continue to support government policies, programmes and other activities of President BolaTinubu-led administration to ensure better direction for things ahead of year 2024. The Director-General of NOA, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, made the call in a New Year’s Day message in Abuja today Monday 1st January, 2024.
Issa-Onilu noted that the current administration has put in place several policies, programmes and activities that will ensure Nigeria regains its pride of place among league nations across the globe.
The NOA boss reiterated that the removal of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit, PMS known as petrol, has liberated Nigeria’s economy from the stranglehold of a questionable subsidy regime that was putting Nigerian economy into question at the same time have ushered ways into savings for re-investment in critical sectors.
According to him, overhauling the national security architecture that ushered in new security chiefs has resulted in the increased onslaught on the non-state actors that has set the nation into quagmire of security dilemma.
Issa-Onnilu added that creating a Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy was a definitive step towards harnessing the great potential of Nigeria’s blue economy.
He said, “The new initiatives in dry season farming and support to farmers will lead to the desired diveArsification of our economy”.
